Met My God - 5

Yes, I met my idol Shreya Ghoshal again the 5th time on 23rd July! :) ..I couldn’t post the 4th part because of some reasons.Coming to the recent meeting, Shreya di had tweeted “Now- Sleep. :) 2mrw delhi! :)” ..And I couldn’t believe it because there was no news of her coming to Delhi. I was very excited but on the other hand, I was equally sad as I was thinking whether I’ll be able to meet her this time as it had been more than 9 months that we met!

I didn’t sleep that day (my twitter and FB friends must be aware of that). I finally slept at 5am and woke up at 12 noon. I was waiting for the sun to rise so that I could get in contact with Shreya’s mother to get to know anything related to her concert! I finally got in contact with her at 3 and before I asked her, she told me about the concert but she herself had not come with Shreya this time as her father was accompanying her this time! I asked her mother if I could meet her this time! She said she could try but sadly, she told ,me that Shreya had forgotten her cell phone in Mumbai and her manager’s cell phone was not reachable! But since Aunty takes me as her own son, she didn’t let me lose the hope and kept trying and finally, I got in contact with her manager. He said that I could come. I was super happy after the 3 hours sadness and praying to Guruji continuously. It was 6pm that time and I was already late. I reached the venue around 7pm and fortuntately, my Shreya didi was there at the backstage and I entered the room! She first noticed me and said , “You are looking very changed..She actually said “bilkul risht pusht lag rahe ho”..Haha! She liked my outfit a lot and complemented 2 -3 times for it. I was super happy. I asked her for a photograph but she said “Sit, there is more time” . I asked her about X Factor and she said it was going good. I also asked her about her foot. I was thinking if it’s a dream and suddenly, someone came to call her as some dancers wanted a snap with her! She told that she would be back in a few minutes. In the meanwhile, I talked to her father for the first time.He asked about my education :).He is again, so humble liker his whole family. I took his blessings and Shreya entered the room again. And then, someone came to call her for the concert and we took the snap and I was very happy to have met my Idol after 10 long months :)…And then, luckily enjoyed the whole concert by her. She started with Silsila Ye Chahat Ka and sang quite a few numbers like Wada Raha, Tumhe Jo Main Dekha, Chalo Tumko Lekat Chalein, Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai, O Bekhar, Ami Je Tomar and not to forget, she sang her recent hit Saathiya for the very first time in a concert :)..

Thank you God and Guruji for turning impossible to possible. Anyway, impossible says that I m possible ;) ..hehe ..Thank you all for your blessings and last but not the least, million thanks to Shreya’s mom and her manager for helping me out :) ..Loads of Love and Hugs :)

Short reviews of songs!

Hi guys..I am back!! Exams were not less that Internship came into scene!! I never thought I would be so busy that I would not complete my blog. I am not even abnle to sit on Twitter like before! I make sure that this busy schedule of mine ends soon!!

Again, I'll have to write short reviews of songs..All songs of Shreya recently have been super hit!!

Specially Zara Sa Ansuna tops my list this year! :)..The song has such a rich flavor.Hats off to Shreya and Deepak Pandit

1. Zara Sa Ansuna - Starting with my favorite track :).. Songs like Zara Sa Ansuna, that too in Shreya's voice is what I want everyday :)..Its my cuppa tea! The beats, the instrumentation, everything is soo unique..Its a romantic song from the Movie "Ye Faasley"..The combo of Shreya and Deepak Pandit always rocks!! The song also has another version which is almost same..The only difference is that it is a duet and has mridangam playing in the antara instead of dholak and the instrumentation is less in the later version.

2. Kitne Din Beetey - Another mindblowing song from the same movie..It has a slight sad feel to it.. It also has two versions..almost similar! Nice instrumentation! The song is my favorite as well :)

3.Poovakelu - Guess who is back? The superb combo Shreya and Ilayaraja :)..This Tamil song is a duet with Karthik.. Its a romantic song with superb syhcronization of instruments. Shreya , as usual is the star of the song! :).. The song has a carnatic feel to it and I got reminded of Konjam Konjam (again by Shreya - Ilayaraja)

4. Bavani Varugira - Another song by Shreya - Ilayaraja. Its from the Movie "Ponnar Shankar". Its sung by Shreya and chorus part. It seems like a Tamil village song. A lot of Carnatic flavor and very unique instruementation has been done by Ilayaraja..

5.Kannai Padithaen- Another melody from the same movie! Its a duet with Sreeram Parthasarthy..Its a typical Raja melody..Shreya sounds like an angel, specially in the antaras. I got reminded of Elangathu Veesudey after hearing this!

6. Mallar Villilae - Third song from the same movie! Its a duet by Shreya and another female singer Darshana! It has a carnatic music touch to it and the interludes between the antaras are simply superb. Shreya takes small alaap in the ending of both the antaras which impressed me the most. To be honest, the other female singer sounds just Ok in front of Shreya!

7. Thedi Vantha - Last song from Ponnar Shankar. Its a duet with Shreya and Kunal. Its a unique song with full of expressions and Shreya has rocked it!

ps: Sorry guys, I'll post the rest of the reviews later as I have to write a very special post "Met My God - 5" ;)

Review of the pending songs!!

Hi friends. I know you all have ben waiting long for the posts but I had some problem with the font of the blog and also exams were/are dancing on my head. So, I decided to write short reviews of pending songs instead of getting more late. I'll bold the name of the songs which according to me cannot be missed and the one in bold and italics will be even more special and I'll write big reviews of some selected songs as well!

1.Chinna Nee Nanna - A Kannada song from the movie Uyyale. Music by Rickey Raj. Its a duet of Shreya with Kunal Ganjawala. A nice usual romantic song with slight western beats

2.Nee Thandiruve - Kannada duet by Shreya and Shaan. Music by jan Varkey (never heard of him before). The song is very nice. It has a carnatic touch to it and antaras are aptly made.

3.Geleya - Again, third continuous Kannada song. Its sung by Shreya n Kunal from the movie Hori. A nice romantic song starts with a soothing tune played on Guitar, followed by Shreya's mesmerizing vocals. Though its a nice song, but like always, Shreya's vocals makes it more special.

4.Rong Diya - Its the second Assamese song of Shreya. It cannot be missed at any cost. Its from the movie Raamdhenu..Duet with Zubeen Garg and music by Jatin Sharma. The song has a complete aura of Assamese tradition no one except Shreya could justice to it. A very soothing song which will be loved by all music lovers.

5. Kaaya Vaacha - Kannada duet with LN Shastry..from the movie Olave Mandhaara. Music by Deva. A very short song, having complete Carnatic touch to the song. It hardly runs for 3 minutes and Shreya adds a special touch to the song in the last.

6. Chinna Ninna Bali Seralu - Kannada duet with Rajesh Krishnan from the movie Olave Mandhaara. A mixture of romantic and a peppy track.

7. Munpani - An amazing Tamil track by Shreya from the movie Seedan. Music by Dhina. Its having that village flavor in the song. The song may sound easy in hearing but its really difficult to sing it!

8. Mere Bacche - Aah, a great lullaby by Shreya which could make the most stressed person go in a peaceful sleep. Truly amazing! Its from the movie Satrangee Parachute.. Music by Kaushik Dutta..Its one of my most recent favorites by Shreya. What expresions she has put in the song!

9. Mehki Mehki - One of the hits of this year, sung by Shreya and Kshitij. Music by Shankar- Ehsaan - Loy. Shreya completely overshadows the male singer with her outstanding vocals. The song has latin tunes and she has completely rocked it. The song is promoted quite well.

10. Tara Tara - A Kannada song which is a huge hit in Karnataka state. Music by Arjun Janya. Its a duet by Shreya and Vijay Prakash. I recently visited Bangalore and this song was playing in each and every radio station after every single hour. The chorus part which continues in whole of the song adds new touch to the song.

11. Jhiri Jhiri - A Bangla track by Shreya and Nachiketa from the movie "Bhorer Alo". Music by Jeet Ganguly. Awesome song with a classical touch. A very soothing song. Hop you all will love it.

12. Chali Chaliga - New Telugu solo by Shreya. Its a huge hit all over Andhra and among music lovers. Music by Devi Sri Prasad. The song has a Carnatic touch and I got reminded of Enni Ashalo after hearing this track.

13. Ki Jani Ki Je Holo - A Bangla track by Shreya and Shaan from the movie Punorutthan. Music by Ravindra Jain. The song is a like a typical Ravindra Jain track, having beats like the songs from Vivah, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi, etc

14. Hey-La-Mana - A song from the movie Queens - Destiny of Dance. Its composed by Anurag Ware. Its a solo by Shreya. The trailor of the movie is not even shown once.

15. Bhishe Bhishe - A Bangla track from the movie Iti Mrinalini. Music by Debjyoti Mishra. We all are aware of the amazing songs Shreya has sung for him before. A nice track having latin touch, supported by instruments like Guitar. Shreya has completely rocked the song with her superb and versatile vocals.

16. Ajana Kono Galpo Bole - s.Again a superb track from the same movie. The instrumentation is superb. Shreya, like always have added apt emotions in the song which makes it even more special. The song sounds like the unforgettable oldies by OP Nayyar.

ps: Hope you guys will cooperate with me. I will write big reviews for the rest of the songs tomorrow because they are really special! :)
