Abu Dhabi: Shreya Ghoshal leave audience spellbound

The Institute of Chartered Accountants Of India (ICAI) Abu Dhabi Chapter on the occasion of their 20th Annual International Seminar 2008 (Reaching New Heights), organized a vibrant and exhilarating Musical Concert of "Udit Narayan and Shreya Ghoshal" at the Lawns of Armed Officers Club, Abu Dhabi on Friday, October 24, 2008. A large number of invitees and guests witnessed this scintillating musical concert.

It was now time for the young, talented, beautiful, warm and friendly playback singing sensation "Shreya Ghoshal" make an entry on stage and to entertain the audience with her selection of songs. The crowd was excited to see her performing live on stage. They could not believe their eyes that she was standing right in front of them and welcomed her with a huge round of applause.

She regaled the audience with her smooth and scintillating voice. She sang Mere Piyaa, Vaada Raha Pyar se Pyar ka, Agar Tum Mil Jaao Zamaana Chod Denge Hum, Piya Bole Jiya Dole, Dekho Naa Dekho Mujhe Yaar, Dil Kho Gaya Kisee Kaa (Singh is Kingh), etc., The crowd kept tapping their feet on the floor when they heard all time favourites and songs from super hit bollywood movies. The songs "Pal Pal Pal Har Pal (Lage Raho Munnabhai) kept the moods swaying, "Cheene Kum" enhanced the mood of the listeners by adding vigour in their lives and "Jaadu Yeh Nashaa hei" created a magical spell in their mind.

Mr. Prakash Mehta- Chairman of ICAI welcomed everyone with his usual sense of humour and style. He then felicitated the Lead Sponsors (Damas Jewellery), Platinum Sponsors (HSBC, Jasani LLC), Premier Sponsors (ANC Holdings, Al Faraa Group, Cert group, Emirates Float Glass LLC, EMKE group, Finance House, NDC, Al Hilal Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Tabreed, UBL, UNB) Main Sponsors (ADMMI, Al Noor Hospital, Morison Menon, SFC Group) and Co-Sponsors (Al Dar, Bank of Baroda, BHS,Deloite, First Gulf Bank, KPMG, Life Line Hospital, Middle East Traders, Pearl Insurance and UAE Exchange). He expressed his gratitude for their support and without them this event would not be a success he added.

The third session which began at midnight consisted of foot tapping songs like Nanna Re Nanna re, Aishthaa, Dil Bar Shik Doom Koi Nahi Kamre Mei, Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hei, Hum Tho Eishe Hei Bhaiyyaa, Dhoom Thana Nanaa , Salaame Ishq, Dola Re Dola re.. to name a few. The crowd could not resist listening to these songs and immediately started swaying on the dance floor. The dancing floor was full as they kept twisting and shaking to her tunes and the seats looked empty.

In the final session Udit Naryans wife Deepa Narayan accompanied him on stage and sang duet songs like Dil Tho Pagal Hei, Laal Dupatta, Koi Mil Gaya, and Kaho Naa Pyar

Shreya rocks with Mano Murthy again

As we all knw,the songs of Shreya-Mano Murthy combo always turns to be a chartbuster in Kannada film industry,here cums more from this combo.Shreya has sung 2 songs in an upcoming Kannada movie Haage Summane,one solo and one duet with Udit Narayan.In the case when Mano Murthy is a composer,this is always decided that there will be a solo of Shreya which will have another version which will be sung by Sonu Nigam.Am I right??But this time we dnt get to hear a duet with Sonu Nigam,its Udit Narayan here.Anywayz,that hardly matters for me atleast.Shreya can rock with any male singer.Shreya's solo is titled Ode Bandenu and her duet is titled Naanenu Nambodilla.

As i wrote earlier in my post that i'll not write my review on Shreya's songs bcoz for me,every song of Shreya is a masterpeice.Ur views r most welcome.I will just let u knw abt her forthcomings and her upcoming concerts and all :)

"Poovinai" from Anantha Thandavam

Hopefully,here comes another Tamil song of our angel from the movie "Aanandha Thaandavam".The song is titled Poovinai and its a duet with Srinivas.Its an awesome melody.I finally get the song which i expect from GV Prakash after Uruguthey Maraguthey.Srinivas complements Shreya in this melody and Srinivas is one of my favourite male singers.Hopefully,we'll get to hear more songs from Shreya-GV Prakash combo.


Note:I wont write my reviews on the songs of Shreya bcoz i dnt think i am capable enough to write a review on OUR DIVA.I can write review on songs of other singers,but its a big NO in the case of Shreya.Though,our reader's reviews are most welcome :)

Shreya to sing in Avakai Biryani

Recently we got to hear a melodious Telugu track by Shreya "Merupula" which had music by Vishal-Shekhar.Now,here comes one more Telugu track of Shreya which is totally different from Merupula.It is titled Veerudena sung by Shreya and Karthik from the movie Avakai Biryani .It has music by Manikanth Kadri.This song can come in the category like that of Jaan Hai sung by Shreya and Sonu Nigam .

Hope this song will be a chartbuster!!!!!!!!!!

Finally,An AR Rahman number for Shreya

After the song from Provoked,there has not been any single song of Shreya for AR Rahman.Finally,the wait gets over.Shreya has sung in Subhash Ghai's Yuvvraaj which is an most awaiting movie of 2008.The song is titled Tu Hi To Meri Dost Hai which is sung by Shreya,Benny Dayal,AR Rahman and Salman Khan.Rahman also did Taal and Kisna(though sum of the songs were composed by Ismail Darbar)for Subhash Ghai..Both the movies had great songs.Hope the magic still continues in Yuvvraaj and why not will the magic continue because our Angel Shreya Ghoshal is there :)It is to be noted that Shreya has also sung in Dilli 6 starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor) and Sree Ashtavinayak's Blue.Both are having music by AR Rahman.Cant wait more for the songs!!!!

Shreya has sung in Seval but.......

Shreya has sung 3 songs for GV Prakash in Tamil so far.And yes,she has sung for an upcoming Tamil Movie Seval.The song is Namma Ooru but its quite shocking to see that Shreya has not been credited for this song.Only Anuradha Shriram,Tippu and Manicka.First female lines are by Shreya only.It is to be noted that the other two female singers (Prashanthini and Mahathi )who have sung few lines in this song are also not been credited.Guess,its only a mistake!!!!!

My devotion for Living Legend Shreya Ghoshal

Hello friends,Though i have been visiting many blogs of my friends(ofcourse related to Shreya Ghoshal),but this is the first I have created my own blog. I just got a thought that when i am such a big fan of Nightingale Shreya Ghoshal,then why not create a blog so that i can show my dedication towards Shreya to the whole world.
Well,Shreya is not only a playback singer for me but she is my God.I not only inspire her for her singing but also for her humbleness.I became her mad fan when i heard her voice in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas.Though i liked many singers before but after the entry of Shreya Ghoshal,I just forgot all other singers and today,my favurite singer is one and only Shreya Ghoshal.I am so proud to be her fan.Her songs is food for my life.I can live without food n water,but cant live without her songs.I hope one day Shreya wwill visit my small blog which has a big devotee of her "Nishant" in it :)

Since this is my first blog and first post ofcourse,i would like my viewers to cooperate with me and please tell me if there is many mistakes in my posts.
